The Advanced Virtual Content Creation course took place in Ostroda, Poland, from September 11 to 19, and was organised in collaboration with NATO DEEP, the Polish Association for Security, the NATO Mission in Iraq (NMI), and the Iraqi e-Learning Centre. Participants were drawn from the Defence University for Military Studies (DUfMS) and the Information Technology Directorate.
The primary objective of the course was to familiarise participants with key tools and software used in virtual content creation, and to provide hands-on training through practical exercises and activities. Participants gained in-depth knowledge of virtual content creation techniques using tools such as OBS and Articulate Storyline 360. Additionally, they learned to design and structure impactful e-learning content following the ADDIE instructional design model. The outcome of the course included the development of virtual course materials tailored to the most relevant subject areas for the Iraqi Armed Forces. The training objectives were fully achieved, contributing to the professional development of the participants and enhancing Iraq’s e-learning capabilities in the defence sector.
