Representatives from NATO DEEP eAcademy recently visited the Higher Institute of English (HIE) to explore potential collaborations and familiarize themselves with the institute’s infrastructure and activities. The visit, which took place on June 15th, included an insightful tour of HIE’s facilities. During the visit, HIE provided the NATO delegation with professional translation assistance, facilitating seamless communication between the NATO representatives and HIE stakeholders.
The NATO DEEP eAcademy delegation had the opportunity to explore the buildings and infrastructure of HIE. The purpose of the visit was to gain a deeper understanding of HIE’s operations and learn about ongoing projects.
During the visit, HIE representatives shared insights on the importance of digital competencies for teachers, emphasizing the need for digital literacy training within the Mauritanian military. HIE highlighted its status as an approved training and testing center for the International Computer Driving License (ICDL), indicating the potential to provide digital literacy services to the Mauritanian military, government ministries, and the private sector.
