The three-day residential workshop was organized by NATO DEEP eAcademy and the Polish Association for Security in Olsztyn, Poland, from March 15-17, 2025. The event brought together five participants from Georgia—three from David Aghmashenebeli National Defence Academy and two from Commander Command and Staff College—under the guidance of Subject Matter Experts.

The workshop focused on assessing the current state and needs of Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) in Georgia, defining the scope of activities for 2025, and exploring best practices in military education based on DEEP eAcademy’s experiences. Participants also examined long-course implementations, including NATO DEEP eAcademy’s six-month Online Teaching Fundamentals Course, and discussed the integration of AI in education, covering basic AI tools, data collection, organization, and analysis. Additionally, the training introduced authoring tools for interactive content development and strategies for transitioning traditional face-to-face workshops into ADL formats. The event also included NATO DEEP training proposals, opening discussions on new training opportunities and strategic collaboration.

This in-person meeting provided a platform for in-depth discussions on Georgia’s ADL development, identifying key needs and potential improvements. It also facilitated new training initiatives and future cooperation strategies, reinforcing the commitment to enhancing digital education capabilities within Georgian PME institutions.
