On 17, 19, and 23 September 2025, the NATO DEEP eAcademy delivered an online workshop titled “Enhancing Teaching Strategies for Receptive Skills through ADL Tools,” specifically designed for educators from the David Aghmashenebeli National Defence Academy of Georgia. This three-day programme aimed to strengthen the teaching of listening and reading skills by integrating Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) tools into instructional practice. Throughout the workshop, participants explored receptive skills in a digital context, examined the latest approaches in digital pedagogy, and engaged in a variety of hands-on activities to design and refine listening and reading modules. The final day featured micro-lesson presentations, interactive peer feedback sessions, and a wrap-up discussion highlighting practical strategies for applying the knowledge and tools gained in their future teaching practice.

By the conclusion of the workshop, participants had acquired the ability to define and differentiate receptive skills in both traditional and ADL learning contexts, apply digital pedagogy principles to the teaching of listening and reading, and effectively utilize multimedia and ADL tools to enhance comprehension. They were also able to design and deliver interactive lessons, assess receptive skills using digital tools, present micro-lessons that incorporated ADL strategies, and provide constructive, actionable feedback on instructional design. The programme equipped participants not only with practical skills but also with a deeper understanding of how digital tools can transform the learning experience for students in a modern, technology-enhanced educational environment.
