NATO DEEP GEO 2025 Annual Review – ADL Context

The NATO Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP) Georgia Annual Review took place on 15–16 April 2025, in Brussels, Belgium. This important event brought together Subject Matter Experts and key stakeholders to assess the progress and impact of DEEP Georgia activities conducted throughout 2024. The primary focus of the review centered on overarching priorities within Professional Military Education (PME), reinforcing the shared commitment to enhancing the quality and effectiveness of Georgia’s military education institutions. The agenda included a comprehensive review of cooperation with Georgian PME institutions, evaluating the activities completed since the last Annual Review and highlighting notable achievements. 

A particular area of focus was the ongoing collaboration in Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL), where the integration of innovative digital learning methods continues to evolve in support of modern military training needs. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the current state of DEEP Georgia cooperation, identifying key challenges, institutional requirements, and areas in need of further development. The meeting concluded with a strategic dialogue on the way ahead, outlining agreed steps and priorities to ensure continued progress and alignment with NATO standards in the field of defence education.
