To meet the specific demands of the new learning ecosystem, NATO DEEP eAcademy has recently launched a project aiming to introduce a solution/ service/ platform as a tool dedicated to the NATO DEEP tutors and SMEs. The idea is to offer access to the most significant AI applications and practical training materials in one centralised location.

The project, currently beta-named as NATO DEEP AIx, is a platform designed for educators who are interested in mastering modern AI technologies within their daily practice. It combines the dedicated solutions developed by NATO DEEP eAcademy and the most effective external tools for education, content creation, tests, and conducting online classes. Practical tutorials and instructions will be available for each tool, as well as practical tutorials and videos that show step-by-step how to use the selected solution in everyday work. The platform will be customizable, and it will prompt the most suitable tools for the user’s role, needs, and experience level based on a short start-up survey. This will result in full integration with the AI model. The system will feature an extensive profile system, which will allow each user to access their dedicated profile. In this profile, users will be able to track their progress, accumulate achievements, and view statistics related to the use of tools and completed courses. Of importance is the security – all tools are thoroughly moderated and updated regularly, and the user-friendly administration panel will allow for swift changes and the reporting of new training needs. Finally, it will allow for access to training and educational resources, and users will be able to easily sign up for online training courses and view structured educational materials on the use of AI in military education. The tangible product within the project will also be a dedicated AI tool for verifying fake news. This tool will be available at no cost. The project team is also working on another tool for converting presentations into SCORM packages for uploading to the LMS ILIAS platform.
