On October 7th, the 5th edition of the e-Instructor Certification Programme commenced with an Opening Ceremony hosted by NATO DEEP eAcademy. New participants were welcomed by opening speech of the NATO DEEP Coordinator Mr Mariusz Solis, and NATO DEEP eAcademy Director Prof. Piotr Gawliczek. After the Opening Ceremony, 24 participants from 12 NATO and Partner countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iraq, Mauritania, Morocco, Namibia, Poland, Serbia, Tunisia, UK, and Ukraine) could interact during the first meeting of Subject 01 – Introduction to Advanced Distributed Learning. Over the whole course, attendees will develop a comprehensive understanding of Advanced Distributed Learning principles and practices. This flagship initiative is ideal for teachers and instructors seeking to enhance their expertise.
During these five months, participants will delve into the methodology of distance learning and gain skills in designing effective online courses and educational materials.
The e-Instructor Certification Programme covers a broad spectrum of topics, including distance learning methodologies, the nuances of asynchronous and synchronous teaching, and the competencies required for e-teachers and e-learning teams. Additionally, experts will guide participants in selecting and implementing learning management systems, enabling them to effectively manage courses and engage with students.
