On February 25, the opening ceremony of the 4th edition of the e-Instructor Certification Programme took place, and NATO DEEP eAcademy’s experts welcomed new participants, who began their five months long journey with advanced distributed learning. The participants are faculty members from PME institutions from Allied and Partner countries.
During the e-Instructor Certification Programme attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of advanced distributed learning. Our flagship programme is the perfect opportunity for teachers and instructors looking to enhance their expertise and knowledge. During these 5 months, participants will explore the methodology of distance learning, and learn how to design effective online courses and educational materials. e-Instructor Certification Programme covers a wide range of topics, including the methodology of distance learning, the specificities of asynchronous and synchronous teaching, and the competencies and tasks required of e-teachers and e-learning teams. In addition, our expert will guide participants through the selection and implementation of learning management systems, including how to use these systems to manage courses and engage students. Participants will also gain practical skills in multimedia creation, including podcasting and videocasting, and explore the latest innovative technologies used in online teaching, such as virtual and augmented reality. Furthermore, our program includes coverage of crucial topics such as copyright and GDPR, ensuring that participants have the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate these complex areas of online education.
But it’s not just about the content – our program is designed to provide ample opportunities for interaction and engagement with other participants and experts. Through our online meetings, participants will have the chance to discuss these subjects in-depth, ask questions, and gain valuable insights from fellow educators and industry leaders.
The activity, as a NATO DEEP eAcademy initiative, will run fully online, while the NATO DEEP ADL Portal and NATO DEEP VC Portal will be used as the key e-learning tools.
