On 16 and 23 September 2026, Meetings 8 and 9 of the Online Teaching Fundamentals Course, Colombia Edition, were completed as part of Module 4, dedicated to Synchronous Teaching: Planning and Development.
During the two sessions, participants explored the key stages of designing and delivering effective synchronous online learning. They learned how to plan a live online session, define its structure and learning flow, select appropriate activities and tools, and prepare engaging educational materials. The Development session further focused on translating the initial plan into a well-organised and interactive learning experience, with attention to learners’ autonomy, evaluation and an effective start of the synchronous session.
The next module of the OTFC Colombia programme will focus on Evaluation and Assessment in Online Teaching, introducing participants to approaches and tools for assessing learning outcomes and evaluating the effectiveness of online instruction.
