The Spring 2026 meeting of the NATO Learning Technology Interoperability Group (NLTIG) marked the 109th gathering of this community. This edition was hosted in Kalkar, Germany, from 22 to 27 of March 2026. The event served as a forum for sharing best practices, showcasing current projects, and exchanging knowledge about technologies used in online and distributed education. The meeting placed a particular emphasis on the role of Artificial Intelligence in ADL — exploring how AI tools and methodologies can be meaningfully integrated into distributed learning environments.
NLTIG itself is actively working on several initiatives related to Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL), while the NATO DEEP eAcademy contributes to the group by providing a dedicated space on the NATO DEEP ADL Portal, supporting the community’s collaborative work and knowledge sharing. The next NLTIG meeting is planned for Autumn 2026.
