The NATO DEEP VC Portal has been successfully updated to BigBlueButton version 3.0. BBB is not only a virtual classroom software but a purpose-built solution that empowers teachers to teach and learners to learn. It is now available in 55 languages, with full support for left-to-right languages such as Arabic. More about BBB at: https://bigbluebutton.org/. Version 3.0 introduces several improvements in usability, engagement, and performance. It aims to make teaching and collaboration on the platform more efficient and intuitive. Main new features include: (1) Enhanced whiteboard – new tools and improved stylus support, (2) Improved audio experience – seamless switching between Listen Only and Microphone modes, with the option to change devices directly during a session, (3) Extended chat functions – users can now edit, delete, react to, and reply to messages. Private messages include a “seen” indicator, (4) Clearer polling results – polling summaries are now easier to read and visually consistent with chat results, (5) Simplified interface – updated Raise Hand, Away Mode, and a visible Leave Meeting button for quick access. No action is required from current users (account owners) – the platform is ready to use.
