NATO DEEP Iraq ADL Capacity Building Update (May 2026)

A series of online workshops was recently conducted through dedicated BigBlueButton servers – established and hosted by the NATO DEEP Academy. The activity formed part of ongoing efforts to support ADL within the NATO DEEP Iraq programme and strengthen digital education capabilities. In total around 3,000 participants connected simultaneously each day across the platform.
To ensure stable and effective delivery at scale, four dedicated servers were deployed to manage participant access and engagement. This configuration enabled uninterrupted access to instructional content and facilitated large-scale interaction in a structured virtual learning environment. The workshops demonstrated the effective use of scalable digital infrastructure to support high-volume participation in professional development activities. The implementation highlighted the importance of reliable learning technologies in delivering capacity-building initiatives, while reinforcing the role of ADL solutions in modern defence education contexts.
