On 8, 9 and 18 September 2026, NATO DEEP eAcademy conducted the online workshop “Designing Educational Materials for Synchronous and Asynchronous Study” for six participants from the David Aghmashenebeli National Defence Academy (NDA) of Georgia.
The workshop focused on practical approaches to developing effective and engaging educational materials for different learning environments. The programme covered pedagogical approaches for synchronous and asynchronous learning, designing clear and modular learning content, tools and techniques for fostering interaction, effective integration of visual and textual content, and methods for evaluating the effectiveness of educational materials. Participants were also introduced to emerging AI-enabled tools and solutions, with a particular focus on their potential to support the systematic design, development, enhancement, and adaptation of educational materials.
