On 29 July 2026, NATO DEEP eAcademy officially launched the first special Spanish-language edition of the Online Teaching Fundamentals Course (OTFC), welcoming 42 participants from Colombia.
Before each live session, participants complete a self-paced online learning module in Spanish to build the knowledge needed for the interactive synchronous sessions. Every Wednesday, they meet online with a subject matter expert (SME) to discuss the content, ask questions, and exchange experiences with fellow participants.
To ensure an inclusive and engaging learning environment, all live sessions are delivered using simultaneous English–Spanish interpretation, allowing participants to interact directly with international instructors while learning in their native language.
Over the coming months, participants will attend 18 live sessions covering the key areas of effective online teaching, including instructional methodology, the foundations of online education, learner engagement, evaluation and assessment, multimedia, emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, and lifelong professional development.
