The AI Tools for Education & Training workshop continued its online delivery through the NATO DEEP eAcademy in October 2026, reflecting sustained interest and strong engagement from participants across NATO Partner Nations. This structured, practice-oriented initiative aims to strengthen AI literacy and digital competencies among educators, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence needed to integrate emerging technologies into their teaching practices.
Through interactive, hands-on sessions, participating educators explored the growing potential of generative AI in modern education, with particular emphasis on course design, educational content development, and the provision of personalized learner support. The workshop also provided opportunities for participants from diverse educational and professional backgrounds to exchange experiences, discuss practical challenges, and share good practices for incorporating AI into teaching and learning environments.
A continued focus was placed on the effective, responsible, and ethical use of AI tools in defence and security education. By examining both the opportunities and limitations of generative technologies, the sessions encouraged educators to make informed decisions about their application in academic settings and to adapt traditional instructional approaches to evolving educational needs. The workshop remains an important contribution to advancing digital education capabilities and fostering innovation across NATO Partner Nations.
