As a result of the events conducted within NATO DEEP Ukraine, it was possible to provide the faculty members, especially from the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi (NDUU), with unique digital competencies. The process started as the online one, in the second half of 2020. While striving to achieve this goal of e-proficiency, the NDUU representatives attended three basic training courses on (1) “H5P – as Microlearning”, (2) “Multimedia Creation – Podcasts and Videocasts”, (3) “Articulate Rise 360”.
The faculty members from two entities of the NDUU: (1) Foreign Languages Educational and Research Centre, (2) Scientific ADL Centre, have gained useful skills, being currently able to implement innovative ideas and tangible products into the realm of the educational and training process and to meet the requirements related to the UKR PME specificity. On top of this, the university disposes now of all the needed tools and knowledge to convert or create new, engaging, and involving ADL courses. The latest example of the capacity achieved is the adaptation of the “Introduction to Culture Awareness 2.0” course The product, which is available in the English language, was translated and adapted into the Ukrainian language by Viktoriia Krykun, supported by Juliia Hryshchuk and Valeriia Skrypnikova from NDUU. It will be officially launched, as soon as the test phase is completed. More tangible products will follow, also as the result of the cooperation between NATO DEEP eAcademy and the NDUU respective centers, i.e. “Computer Adaptive Language Testing – CALT” solution and “E-Learning Tools for Instructors Advanced Course – ELTIAC” training course.
