NATO DEEP Mongolia ADL Capacity Building Update (May 2026).

On 18, 19 and 20 May, a training course dedicated to the use and functionalities of Articulate was delivered online via the Zoom platform. The training was addressed to representatives of military educational institutions and focused on the practical application of Articulate in the design and development of online learning modules.

Articulate is a widely used authoring tool for creating interactive e-learning content. It enables users to design professional online courses that may include text, graphics, audio recordings, video materials, quizzes, knowledge checks, scenarios and interactive exercises. Thanks to these functionalities, Articulate supports the development of engaging, structured and learner-centred training materials. During the training, participants became familiar with the key features of the programme and learned how to apply them in the context of military education and professional development. Particular attention was given to course structure, instructional design principles, the organisation of learning content, the creation of interactive slides, and the development of assessment activities.

The course had a strong practical dimension. Participants not only observed demonstrations of the tool, but also worked on their own online modules. This hands-on approach allowed them to immediately apply newly acquired knowledge and test how Articulate can support the preparation of online courses, instructional materials and training resources. An important part of the training was also devoted to the methodological aspects of e-learning design. Participants discussed how to define learning objectives, structure course content, select appropriate activities, and use interactivity to increase learner engagement and improve the effectiveness of the learning process. The training emphasised that technology itself is not enough; effective online learning also requires careful planning, clear instructional goals and well-designed educational content.

Articulate offers broad possibilities for developing materials that can be used in fully online, blended or face-to-face training environments. It supports self-paced learning, enables the standardisation of training content and helps institutions prepare high-quality digital learning resources tailored to the needs of specific target groups.

The training provided participants with practical skills in designing and developing e-learning modules and created an opportunity to exchange experiences on the role of modern technologies in military education. Its practical and methodological focus demonstrated that tools such as Articulate can effectively support the development of modern teaching and learning approaches, improve the quality of digital training materials and strengthen the implementation of Advanced Distributed Learning solutions.
