We are proud to announce that Mr. Mariusz Solis has become the fourth recipient of the Honorary Professor distinction awarded within our community. Mr. Solis is a distinguished NATO official with more than two decades of experience in international security, crisis management, and defence capacity building. Throughout his career, he has made a significant contribution to strengthening defence education, resilience, and international cooperation across the Alliance and partner nations. Currently serving as Head of the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre (EADRCC), NATO’s principal mechanism for coordinating assistance during disasters and emergencies, Mr. Solis has played a key role in supporting Allied and partner nations in times of crisis. Previously, as Coordinator of the Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP), he led NATO’s efforts to support Professional Military Education institutions across 15 partner countries, helping to strengthen educational systems and institutional capacities. His longstanding commitment to education and professional development has already been recognised by several institutions, including the National Defence University of Ukraine and the Zhytomyr Military Institute. The Honorary Professor distinction recognises individuals whose leadership, dedication, and service have made an exceptional impact on defence education and international cooperation.
