We have the newest project under the auspices of the NATO DEEP eAcademy: “Microlearning with H5P”, which is soon to be out of the development phase and we are ready to gather interest for the upcoming months. H5P is a  free and open-source content collaboration framework used to create interactive videos, interactive presentations, quizzes, and interactive timelines for e-learning courses. One of the most innovative functionality is the branching scenario enabling creators to set up scenario-based learning opportunities and to create dilemmas, self-paced learning scenarios, and other types of adaptive learning.

The e-course is composed of two stages: pre-training (asynchronous tasks – 1 week) and training (3 days). Week 1 starts with the pre-training phase with a kick-off meeting on Monday followed by asynchronous learning and tasks. Then, week 2 requires participation on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. After completing this e-course, the participant will be able to design and develop H5P interactive content, determine in which situations to use the micro-learning approach, and recognize H5P strengths and their relation to learning management systems. Each edition of the e-course is chaired by 4 trainers, and there are 4 slots for participants (this number may grow in the future). There are 4 synchronous meetings planned during its duration.
