NATO DEEP Coordinator, Mariusz Solis, was awarded the diploma of Doctor Honoris Causa of the National Defence University of Ukraine.
The ceremony took place on the 1st of July at the premises of the Mission of Ukraine to NATO. Chargé d’affaires of Ukrainian Mission, Mr. Heorhiy Tolkachov presented the award in the presence of the representatives of the NATO International Staff.
As it was announced – the award was a recognition of the long-standing contribution of Mariusz Solis, as a representative of the Alliance, to the development of the Professional Military Education institutions. It was stressed that the selfless work as the NATO DEEP Coordinator contributed to the improvement of educational programs, teachers’ development, the introduction of innovative methods (including advanced distance learning) at all levels of professional military education in accordance with NATO principles and standards. It contributed as well to the integration of Ukrainian military universities into the European educational space.
