Last week the Iraqi eLearning Portal (IeLP) achieved a significant milestone when 10 Iraqi counterparts from eight different institutions completed an online eLearning Administrators course hosted by the NATO DEEP eAcademy. The course consisted of three evenings of training, delivered via Zoom and the IeLP, and gave the Iraqis an overview of the latest IeLP software and the chance to practice specific skills. By the end of the course, the Iraqis were well versed in a variety of key skills allowing them to fully administer and customise the platform. They can now load and manage individuals on the IeLP and construct customised areas which will allow them to practice what they had been taught. Finally, in their practice areas, they learned how to load materials such as videos and books before constructing the outlines of a basic course with tests and internal validation included. By the end of the course, the Iraqis were very pleased with the progress they had made and have asked for follow-up training to push them further.
