The workshop, “AI-Powered Military Medical English: the Computer Augmented Military English Language,” took place from October 13 to 17, 2025, and was successfully conducted by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from the NATO DEEP eAcademy. The event brought together a team of participants from the Military Medical Faculty at Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU), aiming to lay the groundwork for an innovative, AI-supported online tool for Military Medical English. This initiative aims to address the need for an open-source platform tailored for the Armenian Armed Forces (ARM AF), focusing on military medicine across various levels of English proficiency. Building on the software and experience of the CAMEL-T&T programme, the MED CAMEL Workshop introduced a structured approach to item creation, validation, and quality assurance. The long-term vision is to establish a sustainable and collaborative resource that not only benefits Armenia but can also be shared with Partner Nations, following the successful cooperative model of CAMEL-T&T. In summary, the MED CAMEL Workshop laid the groundwork for a sustainable Military Medical English platform that will enhance language training in operational medicine, strengthen the capacity of the Military Medical Faculty at YSMU, and foster continued international cooperation with Partner Nations.
