Computer Augmented Military English Language – Training & Technology Project Update (June 2026)

From 8–12 June 2026, the residential ADL CAMEL-T&T workshop, “Smart Learning, Real Impact: CAMEL-T&T ADL Residential Pilot” was successfully held at the Language Center of the Military Academy named after V. Sargsyan in Yerevan, Armenia. Organized by SMEs from the NATO DEEP eAcademy, the event brought together international experts from Armenia, Poland, Georgia, and Mauritania (online). The workshop introduced participants to the CAMEL-T&T programme—an open-source NATO DEEP eAcademy initiative designed to support military English training through Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) technologies and digital skills development.

Targeting both the CAMEL-T&T team and Professional Military Education (PME) participants, the workshop focused on validating the platform in real-use conditions, collecting user feedback, strengthening ADL and digital competencies, integrating AI-supported learning tools, and enhancing programme implementation capacity.

Through demonstrations and hands-on activities, participants—including language instructors and Armenian Army officers enrolled in English courses—explored the platform’s features, practiced modern content creation and assessment methods, and examined its application in classroom and independent learning environments.

The workshop concluded with certificate awards and reinforced international cooperation in ESP language training while advancing the integration of ADL supported solutions into military language education.
