ADL workshops on Development of Integrated Learning Systems, on-line tools used in teaching foreign languages and implementation of VR with DEEP Armenia took place between 28 November and 2 December. The event was organized in Poland in four locations: Katowice, Katowice Special Economic Zone Subzone in Zory, Rybnik Historic Mine, WSB University Dabrowa Gornicza. Four participants from Armenia were familiarized with the NATO DEEP strategy, the possibilities of using e-learning platforms in the training process, on-line tools used in teaching foreign languages and new trends in education. An important part of this event was practical training about the possibilities of using e-learning platforms in military education, based on NATO DEEP ADL Portal (LMS ILIAS 7.2) lessons learned and experiences. The workshop was an opportunity to discuss global trends within ADL and good practices in the field of distance learning in military environment, but also to experience in practice the usage of VR tools in education. The participants were introduced to proposals for training and projects for the development of ADL team members within the framework of NATO DEEP activities.
The goals of the event were achieved. During the workshop, participants were familiarized with the NATO DEEP strategy and current activities. During this event, the key point on the agenda was to present possibilities of distance learning in military educational institutions. It is possible to formulate the assessment, that the workshop will be another step forward in developing e-learning competencies.
