The Teaching Methods Workshop, focusing on the pedagogical aspects of ADL, took place online on November 18 to 21, 2024. The workshop was conducted by NATO DEEP eAcademy Subject Matter Experts (SME) for the Tunisian HMES institutions. Over four days, 15 participants came together to enhance their instructional skills. The workshop focused on introducing participants to innovative teaching methodologies, blending online, blended, and face-to-face techniques. Key topics covered included Bloom’s and LRH taxonomies, adult learning principles, problem-solving, critical thinking, and active learning methods. Participants were also introduced to the SARM system for integrating technology into lessons and explored the use of SWOT analysis to evaluate and select teaching strategies. Throughout the training, participants engaged in discussions on motivating students and managing diverse classroom dynamics. They explored synchronous and asynchronous teaching approaches, emphasizing the value of mixing learning methods to enhance engagement. This impactful workshop equipped participants with practical tools to implement varied teaching methods and adapt them to their institutional needs, enhancing the quality of education across Tunisian HMES.
