On October 15th, 2024, a NATO DEEP Georgia ADL capacity-building workshop was held in Tbilisi, aimed at academics from the National Defence Academy of Georgia. The workshop provided an in-depth exploration of modern educational practices and technologies used in military education, helping to strengthen the academy’s distance learning capabilities. Key topics discussed included good practices in military education, with examples from NATO DEEP eAcademy initiatives such as the e-Backpack micro-credential solution and NATO BI asynchronous course for Ukraine. These case studies demonstrated how micro-credentials and online learning solutions can enhance military education and professional development. The workshop also addressed emerging trends in education, with a session on AI tools and new technologies from the perspective of educators. This included a focus on digital competence for e-teachers, highlighting the importance of teachers mastering new technologies to effectively lead digital classrooms. The CAMEL-T&T programme case study served as a practical example of how these advancements might be applied in military training. The event reinforced the role of innovative technologies in shaping the future of military education.
