Cold Weather Operation Conference – Warfare Development For the High North (CWOC 2023), was held in Hamar, Norway, between 14 Nov – 16 Nov 2023. Among participants from 18 NATO & Partner countries, it featured NATO DEEP eAcademy experts. The conference agenda was divided into three paths. The first one, focused on the current and future approach of different Arctic nations’ MIoP in a context of Multi-Domain Operations. The second, contained information about concerns at operational and tactical level regarding planning, preparing and execution of Operations in a Cold Weather Environment. The third addressed current and future demands for R&D within mobility, survivability and sustainment for cold weather capable forces. As the topics of special importance for NATO DEEP eAcademy, was the use of emerging technologies in the field of Cold Weather Operations. There were many instances, when the speakers talked about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual Reality (VR) and their impact on training and education in this thematic field.
