On October 09-11, an ADL online event took place. It involved participants from the Iraqi Air Force and was focused on the LMS ILIAS administration. The activity was conducted by Vitalijs Slendins and Giorgi Kokhreidze – NATO DEEP eAcademy LMS ILIAS Experts. The aim of the workshop was to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to effectively administer and use the ILIAS learning management system. The course covered topics such as user management, course creation and management, content organization, and system configuration. Participants learned how to set up and customize ILIAS according to their organization’s needs, as well as how to troubleshoot common issues. Twenty participants from Iraqi Air Force institutions were familiarised with the following topics: (1) understanding of LMS ILIAS specificity(2) user management, (3) course creation and management, (4) content organization, (5) troubleshooting. During the workshop, the participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the ILIAS learning management system, its features, and its functionalities. They also learned how to effectively manage user accounts, assign roles and permissions, and manage user groups. The participants were equipped with the knowledge of how to create and manage courses within ILIAS, including organizing course content, setting up assessments and assignments, and tracking learner progress. They also learned how to organize and structure content within ILIAS, including creating folders, uploading files, and managing multimedia resources. Finally, the participants developed skills in identifying and resolving common issues that may arise within ILIAS, such as user access problems, content display issues, or technical errors. Next activities dedicated to the ADL capacity building for Iraqi partners will follow.
