On July 26, 2023, the kick-off meeting took place, marking the launching of the project aiming at creating an indigenous AI model, nicknamed Jean. This new NATO DEEP eAcademy initiative brought together specialists in Artificial Intelligence (AI), new technologies, and programming. The objective of the project is to develop an advanced AI solution that can be seamlessly integrated into any element of the DEEP NATO Portal and significantly influence other DEEP NATO undertakings. The project’s objectives are clearly defined. The team will conduct extensive research to identify the most effective technologies and tools for creating AI models. The members of the team will also analyze available AI solutions for open-source chatbots, with the aim of selecting the technologies and tools that best align with their needs.
The kick-off meeting served as a venue for an in-depth discussion about the project’s
future actions and priorities. The team engaged in a dialogue, exploring various aspects of
the project and aligning the understanding of the tasks ahead.
