On 26.06-30.06 June 2023, the workshop within the NATO DEEP Armenia was conducted. The programme focused on diverse teaching methods, while the location was the seat of National Defense University, Yerevan. The instructors team consisted of two SMEs from the NATO DEEP eAcademy: Tanja Geiss (lead) and Vitalijs Slendins.
The event was designed to enrich educators with a diverse array of teaching methods and skills, combining active and interactive approaches to enhance the learning experience for cadets. During the undertaking, it was emphasized to show a balanced blend of synchronous and asynchronous teaching methods. The workshop aimed also to foster meaningful dialogue between participants and instructors, encouraging experimental teaching methods. One of the tools discussed during the programme was the SWOT method used to evaluate teaching methods and find the most suitable one for a specific situation. Moreover, the trainees motivation was discussed, and how to boost it. Key objectives of the workshop were achieved to show participants how to:
- Identify, implement, and compare teaching methods for different learning contexts.
- Analyze challenges and justify the importance of a committed learning environment.
- Address classroom diversity through various teaching techniques.
