On 2–3 June 2026, a follow-on seminar on designing Virtual Reality (VR) technology for the simulation of armoured vehicles was held by the Norwegian Defence University College (NDUC). The event brought together representatives from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, NDUC, the Norwegian Defence Material Agency and the NATO DEEP eAcademy. During the seminar, the Ukrainian team demonstrated the effectiveness of VR-based training as a practical response to the limited availability of physical equipment for training. VR headset-based instruction has proven to be a valuable and scalable alternative, delivering strong training outcomes despite constraints on access to physical platforms. Participants reviewed lessons learned and agreed on next steps for the continued development of the VR training modules.
