From April 27 to May 1, 2026, a specialized onboarding workshop was conducted in Nouakchott, Mauritania, focusing on the management of the Mauritania eLearning Portal (MRTeLP). The event was designed to provide LMS managers with the essential skills required to operate the ILIAS platform effectively across various educational institutions. By familiarizing participants with the technical and administrative basics of the portal, the workshop supported the broader goals of digital transformation and capacity building within the Mauritanian defense education sector.
The curriculum addressed several critical components of modern distributed learning, including the setup of individual courses, the organization of user groups, and the integration of specialized NATO content. In addition to technical training on the ILIAS system, the workshop served as a collaborative platform to discuss the implementation of an eLibrary project and the emerging role of Artificial Intelligence in education.
This initiative reinforces the commitment to professional development and the enhancement of instructional design standards through international collaboration and the use of advanced educational technologies.
