On 27-28 October 2026, representatives of the NATO DEEP eAcademy participated online in the “AI in Military Education and Defence Conference”, held in Lublin, Poland. The event brought together representatives from the National Defence University of Ukraine (NDUU), the Royal Danish Defence College (RDDC), and NATO DEEP eAcademy to exchange knowledge, experience, and perspectives on integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Professional Military Education (PME) and defence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The two-day conference focused on the opportunities and challenges associated with AI in military education, including its impact on learning processes, critical thinking, teaching methodologies, assessment, and professional competence. Discussions also addressed practical experiences in implementing AI tools within military education institutions and their potential applications in defence operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
NATO DEEP eAcademy representatives contributed remotely to the programme through presentations and moderated discussions. Their contributions addressed the implementation of AI in higher education as a component of building resilience, as well as insights from the AI in PME Guide, highlighting approaches to integrating AI into military teaching and learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
